Nowadays, it is becoming more and more common for people take two jobs. Many have at least one change of career at some point in their lives. But what are the benefits of this situation, what are the drawbacks? In this essay, I will look at both sides and try to draw some conclusions.
Let’s begin by looking at the advantages of changing jobs. The prospect of earning higher pays that of the current job is one of the reasons people change jobs. Remaining in one job position for a long time limits them from earnings higher salaries. As a result, this is the reason most employees leave.
Another advantage of changing jobs is that some people get to move to new places. Relocating allows them to live in different locations where they learn the culture of those locations and their languages. Relocating to a different environment helps meet new people and make acquaintances thereby increasing social connections.
Turning to the other side of the argument, insecurity is a major problem. Most people that change job roles are afraid of what to expect in new their new jobs which leads them to be anxious when executing their and eventually leads them to make mistakes in some cases.
Another issue is that it is not always easy to get used to a new job within a short time. It can take time to some people acquaint themselves with new roles that they need to perform well. New jobs are stressful because they may not know how to do everything and how things are done at the new company.
