The line graph represents the differences in the birth rates of the China and the USA within a time span of 80 years (1920-2000).
In the USA, the rates for the country fluctuated slightly at around 12% between 1920 and 1940 after which it decreased sharply to just under 5% in 1945. However, there was a significant increase in the figure to exactly 15% in the middle of the century with a gradual decline to approximately 7% at the end of the time span.
In the China,meanwhile, there were a slightly fluctuation in fertility rates in the years 1920-1935 followed by a significant decline just under 5% in the next five years. There was an exponential growth at 20% in the middle of the century in question after which it levelled off.
Overall, the fertility rates of both countries were comparable till 1950 after which there was a steady decline.

Overall, it can be seen clearly from the graph that there was an upward trend in household access to four different kinds of modern technology.
In the UK , the CD player made up the biggest share while the least was the Internet. In 1996/97, approximately 60 % population of Britain used CD player and it increased markedly at 80% in the final year. Likewise, the trend for internet access was upward from 10% in 1998 to 40% above in 2003. The usage of mobile phones fluctuated significantly between 1998 and 2003.
Between 1996 and 2003 home computer steadily climbed up from 30% to just over 50 % at the end of time span. The mobile phone started with the lowest percentage about 18% after which there was a rapid increase at approximately 45% ,surpassing home computers at the beginning of 1999 to about 70 % usage by 2003.
