ABSTRACT OF MASTER’S DISSERTATION
Topicality of the dissertation work. Today, the semantics of evaluative adjectives in English and Uzbek languages have been widely studied by many scientists and researchers, it is important to know and study the characteristics, understanding, and reasons of their interdependence and similarity in Uzbek and English languages. It is necessary to study. Therefore, in order to deeply and fully understand the essence of the adjectives, it is important to study a number of other lexemes representing this along with it. The relevance of the dissertation topic is to determine various forms in sentences, their role in social life and the reasons for their use.
The aim of the study is to study the lexical and semantic characteristics of evaluational adjectives in two languages and analyzing, estimating lexical and semantic features of the collected examples and to clear their similar and distinctive features in English and Uzbek languages.
The object of the research is the process of studying the relationship between the lexical and semantic features of evaluative adjectives in English and Uzbek languages. The subject of the research is to study the relationship between the lexical and semantic features of evaluative adjectives in the English and Uzbek languages, creating a standardization system and making a recommendation for its practical application.
Research tasks:
to define semantic similarities between the two languages;
to identify the evaluational adjectives in term features of semantic characteristics in relations in two languages
to analyze lexical and semantic classification of evaluative adjectives;
Research methods.The researcher used comparative analysis, descriptive and conceptual results.
The structure of the dissertation consists of introduction, three chapters, conclusion, list of used literature and appendix.
The expected results of the research are to recommend the lexical and semantic analysis and comparisons of the differences and specific aspects of evaluative adjectives in both languages.
