PAYMENT & RETURN OF ITEMS: We begin charging credit cards a week to 10 days before the actual signing, so we can clear up problems. Most orders have some sort of problem. Yours is typically one of hundreds of orders, but they are all received, reviewed, signed, packed & shipped with the individual attention we’re known for. Please don’t call or write asking where your stuff is, just because you see a charge on your statement. It takes time to locate a specific order in the flow and determine its status -- time taken away from others. It takes a few weeks to get everything out. Please be patient.

It’s been six years since his last mail-in signing in Tucson, but now he’s back! He will sign your mailed in items in June 2015 (deadline for all orders, Monday, June 1). He does not answer autograph requests by mail (except his book), and you’ll save money. Simply decide what and how you want your items signed, fill in the order blank and send it to us by Monday, June 1, and we’ll promptly return your goods with a fresh, authentic signature and Certificate of Authenticity. Gene Cernan Signing - June, 2015 We have been doing private astronaut signings for 15 years. One of the major problems we have is dealing with inordinate amounts of email and phone calls, before, during, and after the signing. To help alleviate this, please read the guidelines for our signings. Most questions and concerns are addressed in the guidelines. Get a tracking number when you ship your item(s) to us. You’ll be able to confirm that your package arrived. We get dozens of calls asking if items arrived, which takes precious time away from prepping for the signing. We have never lost a piece, failed to receive it, or damaged it while here. If your item arrives with damage, we’ll let you know. Please avoid making changes or additions after you have submitted your order. Once the items are tagged it is difficult to retrieve them. They are sorted by size, pen color, etc, not by your name.

You may be charged twice. • Send more than four (4) items to have signed. • Send inkjet (giclee) items to be signed. • Send extra COAs, papers, items not being signed. • Stick post-it notes on inkjet (giclee) items. • Send SPACESHOTS cards - Cernan won’t sign these.
We can provide you with unsigned, borderless copies of our photos. $8 for an 8x10, $55 for a 16x20. Our photos are printed on Fuji Crystal Archive paper, the best for longevity and quality. You might also take a look at our posters and have Cernan sign one of the moon, Apollo, or other. Just identify the photo or poster you want signed on the order form, and add the price on the order blank. If you are only having our photos signed, but not sending your items, then you can email or fax your completed order form to us. RETURN OF INTERNATIONAL ORDERS You are responsible for any duties or VAT. Please be aware that any insurance value triggers a duty, but we cannot be held responsible for loss or damage if not insured. Customs officers are increasingly consulting the internet for valuations and all are requiring invoices. RISK & LIABILITY We have only had a couple of complaints with our custom signing service, out of thousands of satisfied customers. We cannot guarantee your satisfaction with placement, as we are not in complete control here, but we do our utmost to get it right. Remember, items sent directly to some astronauts can get lost, damaged, smeared, or otherwise messed up, and you must accept some risk. Our liability is limited to $100 per item while it’s here in the store. That being said, we’ve never damaged anything. PENS & PLACEMENT You can send your own pens, but we do this a lot, so we have every color of marker, fine or medium point on hand, as well as silver & gold metallic pens in fine or extra-fine point. If there’s a pen you specifically need to match, send it along. PLEASE tell us WHERE to sign and WHAT COLOR pen to use. Or--you can leave it to us. DEADLINE June 1st is the ‘drop-dead’ deadline for receipt of items. If you have an unusual item that needs approval, we strongly suggest letting us know early. OVER 70% OF ORDER FORMS WE RECEIVE HAVE ERRORS OR NEED CLARIFICATION. Please get your items here early and watch your email daily.
None of the astronauts we have had so far will sign flown items from a third party, not even crewmates. Signing implies endorsement and authentication. Unless it’s from the astronaut’s own PPK (personal preference kit), they are reluctant to sign. Call or write first.
