How can we stop deforestation - Deforestation is the large-scale removal of trees from forests (or other lands) for the facilitation of human activities. It is a serious environmental concern since it can result in the loss of biodiversity, damage to natural habitats, disturbances in the water cycle, and soil erosion. - The main reasons of deforestation is agricultural expansion, wood extraction and infrastructure expansion such as road building and urbanization. - In order to prevent deforestation, we have to plant more trees and we must not burn firewood excessively. To save water, we can install canals on our rooftops, so that rainwater can be reused for household purposes or can recharge groundwater. Also we should use the full capacity of our washing machine while washing clothes. If we water the plants in the evening, this helps to minimize evaporation. Air pollution Plan: 1. Air pollution also causes smog, making it difficult to breathe. - Long-term health effects from air pollution include heart disease, lung cancer, and respiratory diseases such as emphysema. Air pollution can also cause long-term damage to people's nerves, brain, and other organs.
