PREAMBLE

  • PREAMBLE

  • The following procedures have been prepared to assist pilots operating into and out of the HHI Heliport in Kearny, New Jersey, in the safest way possible - while avoiding surrounding communities. The following routes are mandatory and will be strictly enforced by Newark Tower and Helo Holdings Inc. The HHI Heliport lies within the 4 NM surface area of Newark’s Class B airspace and a clearance will be necessary from Newark Tower for arrivals and departures into the HHI facility. All users of the Heliport must be a signatory to HHI’s Letter of Agreement (LOA) with Newark Tower (EXHIBIT B). All operator and pilot information will be filed with Helo Holdings Inc. and Newark Tower, including the signed “acknowledgement form” signifying that the operator has read and accepted the arrival and departure procedures.

  • These routes and procedures are not intended to replace the responsibilities of the pilot-in-command for safe aircraft operations, nor are they intended to conflict with instructions from ATC or those instructions which are the exclusive authority of the FAA.
