One of the goals of such standardization was to outline ways for the further development and improvement of personal computers. However, the development of personal computer hardware led to a gradual blurring of the boundaries between different categories, and development plans often did not materialize. Therefore, updating these standards has been discontinued, although when purchasing a computer for specific tasks, the classification introduced by these standards is still useful to keep in mind.
The last years of the development of computer and information technologies were aimed not so much at some technological innovations as at simplifying interfaces, that is, ways of communicating between a user and a computer. So far, there are no special innovations in this area, however, the great minds of our time from time to time try to predict what computers will be like in 10-20 years.
In details, forecasts and, in part, dreams about the future of modern computer technology diverge, but almost everyone who tries to imagine what computers will be like in a few years believes that they will not only not look like their contemporaries, but will also have an unprecedented functionality today.

Based on the results of the presented work, the following conclusions can be drawn: the evolution that takes place all the time in the world of computer technology is very, very necessary. After all, the more versatile the technology, the more we are able to produce at our workplaces with the help of it.
As the PC evolves, so do we. And the simpler and more accessible this machine is, the more productive our work will be and the brighter life in general.
In the development and creation of computers proper, super-powerful computers - supercomputers - and miniature and subminiature PCs have a significant and stable priority in recent years.
The widespread introduction of multimedia, primarily audio and video input and output of information, allows you to communicate with a computer in a natural way for a person.
In the coming years, it will be possible to create a computer model of the real world, such a virtual (seeming, imaginary) system in which we can actively live and manipulate virtual objects. The simplest prototype of such an apparent world already exists in complex computer games. The information revolution will affect all aspects of life.
Computer systems: when working on a computer with a “friendly interface”, a person will see a virtual interlocutor with his own eyes, actively communicate with him at a natural speech level with audio and video explanations , tips, hints. “Computer loneliness”, which has such a harmful effect on the psyche of active users, will disappear.
