Psychological features of foreign language learners. The article focuses on the psychological features and changes of young learners when they are learning foreign languages Key words and expression: preschool learners,metacognitive,new language, approaches,practical hints The article by Naimova D.K showed the psychological features of young learners in teaching foreign languages. As the name of it shows that research was carried out on the brain condition of preschool learners in the process of learning a new language, namely how they can learn unfamiliar language at young age, what kind of psychological changes happen in their brain, particularly what kind of approaches need to be used in teaching process. When it comes to the second article, it is written to investigate the metacognitive strategies and practical tips when learning foreign languages. Actually, metacognitive means the understanding or awareness of our own mental proccess, briefly the ability of answering our own questions consciously, while we are learning new languages. So this article illustrates the importance of metacognitive skills in order to master in any language and the usage of practical hints. The successful points of this article “The psychological features of young learners in teaching foreign languages” by Naimova D.K are widely given both psychological characteristics of early age students while they are taught a foreign language, and the instructions for teacher how to carry out the lesson at this age1. One by one each item of it is shown, even the most important one in teaching for the success is mentioned which is named “positive motivation”. According to Naimova D.K, the peculiarities of preschool student in learning are Features of cognitive activity and cognitive activity of students; Features of the development of higher mental functions of students (memory, attention, thinking, perception, imagination); Emotional-volitional and personal characteristics of students; Arbitrariness of behavior, formation of communication skills; The presence of positive motivation to learn languages. Also, the writer claims that the communication in a second language can be a positive motivation for all new language learners but not for elementary school students. In contrast, they are inspired to learn a new language through educational and speech activities, which have positive final result, and adequate complexity for the level of students. In my opinion, this article can provide enough information about the psychological features preschool students and teaching process for them, as its name shows. As for the second article given, it is carefully written the crucial topic for all language learners, which is named as metacognitive strategies and practical tips. As the name suggests that, the reader can understand this article is about the understanding of learning process. The author can achieve the wish planned by writing this article, namely all techniques and recommendations she or he gives are practical for all level of learners. The article mentions that metacognition plays an important role in foreign language learning, because it refers the ability to become aware and conscious of our mental process. Students can be foreign language mastery as they step following roads as mentioned by the linguist Dr. Ute Limacher-Riebold who is fluent in six languages. They are that new language learners should expose themselves into the target language, and copy new language that they hear around them. Each language has its own music,” says Limacher-Riebold 2The next steps are that reading authentic materials and creating target language atmosphere. The most useful points are firstly considered,this article can satisfy the desires of readers. The similar points of these two articles are that they are both devoted to language learning process and how it is carried out, but the former for early language learners, the latter for self-study and older language learners.
