Implementing Software Quality Assurance
Quality assurance systems aim to satisfy the customers. The resources,
processes, and procedures keep the organization focused on activities and goals.
More often than not, customers reach a high
level of satisfaction if the
organization developed programs, products, and services that ensure consistent
delivery to please customers.
Determine the Goals of the Organization
Quality assurance starts with the definition of job descriptions of employees that
relate to the organizational goals of the company. The employees must know the
company’s vision, mission, values, and their roles in it. The organization must
provide thorough orientation to new employees so that they know how they
relate to the organization.
Determine Critical Success Factors
The quality assurance system must identify the factors that will make it
successful. Such factors may include employee satisfaction, customer support,
great product, well-designed
production process, technical support, or financial
security. The major factors must be able to influence the quality assurance
process in a consistent and continuous manner.
Determine External and Internal Users
For the quality assurance system to work, the team must identify the major
groups of customers. It is important that the group knows the needs of their
customers so that they can develop software products
and services that satisfy
them. In general, customers can include direct clients, vendors, employees,
suppliers, or volunteers.
