Reasoning: Universal Declaration of Human Rights I think the most important articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights are first law: “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood” and second law: “Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, color, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty”. I took first article as an important one for me, because of numerous reasons. It gives a clear declaration that all individuals have freedom and says that we are all born free and equal. This implies that everyone is equal regardless of where they live, who their parents are, or what religion they follow. Actually, this right can act against people who stereotype and prejudice. Additionally, I wanted to consider the second article of the UDHR as one of its most crucial provisions because it protects equality in all conditions. Everyone should have rights and liberties, in my opinion. No one shall be subjected to discrimination on the basis of their race, color, sex, language, religion, political opinion, national origin, social standing, wealth, or other factors. I and my partner think that article 3 which is “Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person” is the most important because to protect everyone's humanities, we need this article. All people are created equal, and their Creator has given them certain unalienable rights, including the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The third article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was selected by nearly half of the class as its most important provision. Because, life, security, and liberty are what make up a person's most essential characteristics. Every human must have a right to live and to be secured and to live without being someone’s slave. I absolutely agree with the class’s decision. Because, I think, while ensuring that our rights are always protected, freedom and security gives us the chance to pursue pleasure. Also, no one must not be abused by someone to not to live. Second reason why my classmates have chosen this article is that this article is seemed like strongest ones because in the article all mentioned meanings involved general. To clarify, this article is somehow linked with another laws, it means this article is generalized form of almost all articles. My partner’s reasoning is convincing because he mentioned that no one has right to deprive from life and freedom. His reasoning also almost same in terms of meaningness. I am supporter of his ideas.
