DBF File
Lacerte database file which holds client 
and sub client information
e.g DATA1I18.DBF, DATA2I18.DBF can be seen for 
an individual module, See list of tables for more 
details.
Tables
Database 1 to 8 (.DBF files) seen inside a 
Datapath
Analogous to DBF file. Each DBF file holds a table 
of data
Detail File
Holding most of the tax-specific input for a 
client
Files seen inside Detail folder inside a Datapath 
with year specific extension (.ID8 files)
e.g. JOHNS.ID8 for a client name JOHNS

Different tax type Lacerte program offers

List of tables names in Lacerte 
Lacerte program writes most of its client data to DBF files and most of the tax data for a client to a Detail 
file. There are 8 DBF files inside a Datapath with content as described in the following table.
