Step 11.
Reattach the bars you removed in Step 2 to the top half of the metal cage.
Step 12.
Build a 43” x 51" square wooden frame from 2" x 6" hardwood planks. Reinforce the corners with metal corner brackets. The grow bed cage should sit squarely in the center of this frame when it is placed on top of the fish tank (See illustration).
Step 13.
Turn the frame 90° from the fish tank, and place it on top of the fish tank so that the long edge of the grow bed is resting across the short edge of the fish tank. Place the frame near the back of the fish tank so that the fish access cutout is in the front. Next, place the top half of the metal cage upside down on top of the wooden frame.

Step 14.
Cut off the plastic tabs that held the bars from the top half of the IBC tote. Use 100% silicone to seal the pressure release valve in the grow bed.
Step 15.
Use the adapter to connect the 1” water pump tubing to the water pump. Place the water pump into the fish tank.
Step 16.
Run the tubing up from the water pump until it is even with the top of the fish tank. Attach a 1” t-fitting. Use zip ties to hold it in place.

Step 17.
Attach a few inches of hose outward from the 90° section of the t- fitting, and attach a valve on the end. Use this valve to regulate water flow into the grow bed, and to add extra aeration into the system.
Step 18.
Attach more 1" tubing to the top of the t-fitting, and run it up from the fish tank to the bottom of the grow bed. Attach a valve, and then attach enough 1” tubing to reach the top of the grow bed. This valve will allow you to shut off the water in case you have a leak, and adjust the water flow rate into the grow bed.
Step 19.
Attach a 90° fitting at the top of the tubing that fits over the top edge of the grow bed. Attach a few inches of 1” tubing, and then attach another 90° fitting. Use zip ties to hold it in place. This should result in

tubing that comes up and over the edge of the grow bed and pumps water into the grow media.
