Saki’s “The Interlopers” story, explorer the intricacies of friendship and rivalry. The story take place in a European forest one right during the winter. The story does a wonderful job of building suspense by telling of the fend between the two families. The feeling of impending doom increases as Georg and Ulrich hunt each other in the dark forest. One night they will meet each other in the dark one night. They will not sign each other at that time. At that time, a tree branch from above crashes upon the men. The feeling of suspense flees, and a feeling of sorrow and pity for Georg and Ulrich fills one’s heart. The men lay, crippled beneath the tree in the cold and realize the foolishness of their ways. They were respectful when they talked they say that the first thing people should do is save their predecessors first. But in a strange twist of fate, wolves come and devour them both before they can be freed their men.

In my opinion, this story, reflects friendship and hostility. We can understand how the hostility toward each other can be trained. And, of course, every quarrel or war can have its own tragic consequences. That is why people should lose respect for one another.
