DYNAMIC EXTRACTION AND ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITY FOR OBTAINING
THE EXTRACT

Topicality. 
Today, the number o f extractions is determined by measuring the content of biologically 
active substances, as well as the dry residue in the obtained extracts. But no one has previously described 
the determination of the number o f extractions by the method o f antioxidant activity.
Aim. 
To study the dynamics o f the extraction biological active substances from green tea leaves with 
60% ethanol and antioxidant activity to determine the optimal number o f extraction.
Materials and methods. 
Dry green tea leaves o f spices Chun Myn were the object o f the study
the raw material was collected in Anhui province (China) from March to May. The spectrophotometry 
was used for the quantitative determination of phenolic compounds, catechins, flavonoids and hydroxycin- 
namic acids; antioxidant activity was determined by potentiometric method. The pH meter HANNA 2550 
(Germany) with a combined platinum electrode EZDO 50 PO (Taiwan) was applied for potentiometric 
measurements. The UV-spectrophotometer UV-1000 (China) was used for measuring optical density.
Results. 
Total content of phenolic compounds was 8.60±0.17, 1.30±0.03 and 0.11±0.002%, cate­
chins - 9.20±0.18, 1.20±0.02 and 0.07±0.002%, flavonoids - 0.27±0.005, 0.04±0.001, 0.005±0.001, hy- 
droxycinnamic acids - 0.49±0.01, 0.07±0.002 and 0.007±0.001%, dry residue - 10.75±0.11, 1.59±0.02 and 
0.15±0.002%, antioxidant activity was 474.08, 67.70 and 7.01 mmol-equiv./mdry res for first, second and third 
extraction, respectively. the optimal number o f extraction was equal two.
Conclusions. 
It has been found the number of extraction by the new method that based on the de­
termination antioxidant activity of extracts. The optimal the number o f extraction was determined to be 2. 
This obtained information will be used in the further obtaining phytomedicine, dietary supplements and 
cosmetologically products with green tea extracts.
