History of our University
In accordance with the Decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 27, 2017 No. 3153 "On measures to improve the system of training engineer-technical personnel for the industry-production sector in Tashkent region", the branch of Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov was established. In accordance with this decision, the "Mining and Metallurgy" and "Energy and Mechanical Engineering" faculties started working in the branch. Today, the Faculty of "Mining Work and Metallurgy" has the departments "Mining Work", "Metallurgy", "Mining Electrical Mechanics", "General Professional and Economic Sciences", and the Faculty of Energy and Mechanical Engineering has "Electrical Engineering and Electrical Mechanics", "Chemical Technology", It includes "Mechanical Engineering Technology" departments.
At the same time, in the full-time department, specialists are being trained in the fields of undergraduate education such as "Mechanical engineering technologies", "Mining work", "Metallurgy", "Electrical engineering and electromechanics", "Chemical technology", "Mining electrical mechanics". In addition, evening and part-time departments have been established in our university, and about 2003 students are studying in these departments. Of course, today's in-demand personnel training cannot be imagined without modern laboratory equipment. In connection with the purchase for TDTU Almalyk branch, 6 training laboratories were purchased, including metallurgy, electrical engineering and electronics basics, chemical technology, geology, hydrology and hydrogeology, mechanical engineering and emergency safety, labor protection and life safety.

All professors and teachers working in the branch have their own research directions, and they are publishing scientific articles, teaching-methodical manuals and textbooks within the specified periods. They are also successfully conducting dissertation defenses within the framework of research. Last year, four professors defended their dissertations with such success and received doctor of philosophy (PhD) degrees. This year, the research work of four more professors has been completed, and the main goal is to hold dissertation defenses. Each of our talented professors-teachers has been making an incomparable contribution to the development of students and young people by teaching all their knowledge and experience to take a worthy place in the society, and to educate them as meaningfully rich generations. We know that education is an important issue of every country not only today, but also tomorrow.

Therefore, to raise the worldview of our students, to increase their legal literacy, to fully explain the content and essence of the reforms implemented in the political, legal, social and economic spheres in our republic, to educate them in the spirit of love for the Motherland, to prevent them from committing crimes, crimes, religious extremist trends, and missionary work. fighting against, effectively organizing study and free time from classes is the constant attention of our professors and teachers.

In the 50s of the last century, large mineral deposits were identified in Uzbekistan, their extraction, the construction of enrichment factories and metallurgical plants were planned, and in the 60s, the implementation of this plan was started.
In particular, the Almalyk mining and metallurgical combine, the Chodak, Angren, Marjonbulok mines and ore beneficiation factories belonging to the "Uzbekoltin" association, and later the Navoi mining and metallurgical combine were established. During this period, the Bekabad metallurgical plant, the Chirchik plant for the production of refractory and difficult-to-melt metals (volform and molybdenum) were operating. Training of specialists-engineers miners, beneficiators and metallurgists to work in these mines and factories became the demand of the time. The Faculty of Mining of Tashkent Polytechnic Institute (now Tashkent State Technical University) was engaged in this task.
In 1961, the late Almalyk Faculty of Mining and Metallurgy was opened in the city of Almalyk, and students began to study without being separated from production. As the dean of the faculty, associate professor U.A. Isomukhammedov, I. Inagamov was appointed deputy dean.
According to the decision of the former Soviet leader (N.S. Khrushchev) "To move higher educational institutions to areas close to production enterprises", the full-time faculty of mining and metallurgy within the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute was moved to the city of Almalyk in September 1963.
After the faculty was moved to Almalik, U.A. Isomukhamedov was transferred to the position of vice-rector for academic affairs, associate professor Khoroshev was appointed dean of the faculty in Almalik, and I. Inogamov was appointed deputy dean. After 2-3 years, instead of Horoshev, I. Inogamov was appointed dean.
In September 1967, the full-time department of the Almalyk Faculty of Mining and Metallurgy was moved back to Tashkent. In the city of Almalyk, the evening "Faculty of Mining and Metallurgy of ToshPI" was established, and students studying in the evening department were left. The specialized departments "Metallurgy of non-ferrous metals", "Technology of open pit mining" and other departments will be transformed into "Cycle" and left under the management of the specialized departments of the faculty of mining and metallurgy in Tashkent. As an independent department of the Faculty of Mining and Metallurgy of Kecchi Almaliq, the departments "Mineral Enrichment", "Marxism-Leninism", "General Engineering", "Foreign Languages" and "Industrial Construction" were established. Chazov was later led by M. Askarov.
In 1967-1976, candidate of technical sciences, D.S. Djaymagambetov. worked as a dean.
In 1976-1981, Almaliq KMF again worked as a candidate of technical sciences, associate professor Ilhom Inagamovich I.I.
In 1981-1993, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor Yusuphodzhaev A.A. worked as a dean.
In 1993-1995, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor Kholmatov M.M. worked as a dean.
In 1995, by the decision of the President, evening departments and faculties and branches of higher educational institutions in the regions were terminated. Including the Faculty of Almalik.
In 2001, the Faculty of Mining and Metallurgy of Navoi State Mining Institute was established in order to provide qualified personnel to the rapidly developing mining and metallurgical sector of the industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, mainly to the Almalyk mining and metallurgical combine, as well as to the mining and metallurgical sector of the Republic's industry.
Minutes of the 4th meeting of the State Commission on Admission to Educational Institutions on July 18, 2001, taking into account the proposals of the General Director of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine and the Mayor of Almalyk, 1/68 of the Rector of the Navoi State Mining Institute dated August 2, 2001 According to the order No. -, the full-time department of mining and metallurgy of the Navoi State Mining Institute was opened in Almalyk.
