Some people believe that there will be a reduction in air travel in the future

Nowadays employment options are changing and employees cannot rely on having the same job and working conditions throughout their life.
What are some possible causes?
Suggest some ways to plan for the future under these circumstances.
It is true that today’s job market has become relatively unstable and that lifetime employment is not an optimal choice for many people anymore. In this essay, I will attempt to shed light on some of the causes of this situation and also propose some counter measures for future employees.
To my mind, the rapidly changing nature of the job market can be attributed to two factors. The most plausible one is advances in technology. As well as helping improve productivity in the workplace, technological improvements radically changed employment patterns. That is, an increasing number of manual jobs are being replaced by machines, which reduced vacancies in the industrial and agricultural sectors. Knowledge-based industries such as information technologies, banking, and law also saw swift changes in terms of employment options. For instance, with the advent of advanced AI systems such as chatGPT, companies declared huge staff layoffs as tasks such as code writing, accounting, and legal work can be done by AI programs at a negligible cost. Another crucial factor is global economic turmoil caused by international conflicts and global pandemics. Growing tension between Russia and the West has resulted in major setbacks in many industries while the global spread of COVID-19 drove/rendered many people jobless.
Despite the alarming shifts in the job market, there are several ways employees can ensure stability for the future. One of the most practical solutions here would be creating multiple streams of income. This requires employees to abandon the traditional concept of lifetime employment and consider simultaneous employment in different spheres as a way to diversify their sources of income. This way, employees can create a safety net for possible future economic downturns. Along with accepting multiple jobs, employees should develop financial literacy. Understanding how to manage one’s finances such as by creating a savings account and investing in the financial market could prove useful as financial security is critical for one’s future success.
In conclusion, improvements in technology and rising global instability are two key drivers behind the changing economics of the job market. To counter these, employees should consider building several income streams and financial skills.
Because of modern technology, some people believe that it is no longer necessary for people to learn handwriting skills, but others believe that handwriting is still an important skill.
Discuss both views and give your opinion.
People fall into two camps as to whether handwriting is an essential skill in today’s technological world. While there are reasons to believe that handwriting is somewhat obsolete, I share the view that it is here to stay.
Admittedly, modern technology has undermined the value of handwriting in several ways. Firstly, many people today see electronic gadgets such as smartphones and tablets, and by extension, typing as a convenient substitute/alternative to handwriting. Unlike writing by hand, typing allows the user to edit, share, save, and discard instantly. As a result, increasingly more people prefer typing, which renders handwriting obsolete. Furthermore, there has been a uniform switch to electronics across many sectors of the economy. More and more companies conduct their operations with the help of computers and smartphones, and thus require that their employees possess typing skills. In effect, many consider that handwriting is not a prerequisite for employment anymore.
Despite these changes, I firmly believe that handwriting has some irreplaceable applications in today’s world. The main benefit of handwriting can be seen in education. Most schools including universities around the world still depend on paper-based exams where handwriting is essential. This is often done to prevent instances of cheating among students as computer-based assignments are prone to academic dishonesty such as plagiarism. In this sense, handwriting is critical to maintain the quality and integrity of the education system. Another key feature of writing by hand is its flexibility. That is, typing limits the user’s writing experience to a set number of characters, but with handwriting the range of possible symbols is limited to one’s imagination. Computers are yet to replace this particular quality of handwriting.
In conclusion, although general preference to typing due to its convenience makes handwriting less relevant than it used to be, I think this skill is still an integral part of our lives for its reliability and flexibility.
