Article XI - Penalties
Section A. Upon determining a violation of the Graduate Honor Code or a plea of guilty, the Graduate Honor
Council will submit the decision to the appropriate individual/committee. Decisions by the Graduate Honor
Council are final.
Note: Students found to be in violation of the Graduate Honor Code may also be subject to sanctions from the
Progress and Promotions committee from their degree program, beyond those assigned by the Graduate
Honor Council.
The standard penalty for violation of the Graduate Honor Code is permanent expulsion. The student will
receive a grade of Incomplete for all courses in which he/she is enrolled at the time of the
