Your Excellency, Minister of Sports Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Ikramov Adham Ilkhamovich,

Presidents Asian Weightlifting Federation, Mr. Mohammed Yusof Al-Mana,
Athletes and Weightlifting family,
Good afternoon.
It is a great pleasure for all of weightlifting family to have come back to Tashkent since 2021 World Championships in December.
I say Uzbekistan is my second home. Uzbekistan hosted Asian Events in 2005, 2010, 2011, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020, 2021, World Events in 2013, 2018, 2021.
Among all, in the year of 2021, Uzbekistan hosted Asian Senior Championships, IWF Junior World Championships and IWF World Championships. Even hosting only one event per year is not easy but Uzbekistan hosted 3 events per year and especially during COVID-19 pandemic time. We fully respect and appreciate for the support from Government, relevant authorities and Olympic Committee of Republic of Uzbekistan as well as the hard work of the Organising Committee under the leadership of Uzbekistan Weightlifting Federation.
We have had many challenges in the world which prevents athletes’ participation from many nations, however, this event will contribute for friendship among the athletes, unity among Asian nations which will develop healthy and peaceful world through sport and will make us overcome global challenges near future.
I wish the success of the event, development of Uzbekistan and long life of participants.
