STATEMENT OF REQUIREMENTS FOR
LADLE LINING MATERAIL

Name of product: COAL DUST
Designation: Coal dust is a fine-powdered form of coal which is created by the crushing, grinding, or pulverization of coal rock. Because of the brittle nature of coal, coal dust can be created by mining, transporting, or mechanically handling it.

1. DELIVERY METHOD
Döktaş coal powder stock in 500 Kg big-bags, dried and ground or with compressed air in silo tankers or big-bags for transport to silos.
2. USAGE
2.1 In the preparation of molding sand.

3. PHYSICAL PROPERTIES:
3.1. Operating temperature: max. 1550 °C
3.2. Volumetric weight: 2.1 - 2.2 kg/dm3
3.3. Compressive strength:
200-250 kg/cm2 at 110 °C (dry)
150-2000 kg/cm2 at 800-1000 C (after sintering for 5 hours)
400 kg/cm2 at 1550 °C min. (After being at 1550 °C for 5 hours)
Permanent line expansion: (after 5 hours at 1550 °C) (-) % 1-1,5
Working temperature: 1700…1720 °C
Grain size: up to 3 mm

4. CHEMICAL ANALYSIS
4.1 Volatile matter: 37-45%
4.2 Ash: Max. 6%
4.3 Fixed Carbon: 50-60%
4.4 Combustion Loss: Min. It will be 90%.
4.5 Glossy carbon min. 10.5%\
4.6 Sulfur: Max. It will be 1%.

4.7 Humidity rate Max. It will be 2%.

4.8 Swelling index Min. It will be 3 (It is the most important parameter to be looked at in the first sample).
4.9 The amount of silica will be maximum 20% of the amount of mineral matter in the coal.

6. OPERATION
From the date of unsuitable coal dust laboratory report date to the contractor, foundry
will be removed from the field within 5 calendar days. Unsuitable coal dust will be removed within this period.
If it is not removed, this work will be removed by the factory and its costs will be collected by the manufacturer.
