Sustainable economic development refers to a development strategy aimed at meeting the present needs of societies, without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. The concept of sustainable development was first introduced by the United Nations in 1987, and it aims at promoting economic growth, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability.

At its core, the concept of sustainable development recognizes that economic, social, and environmental factors are interdependent, and must be taken into account together. This means that any development strategy must consider not only the economic benefits that it will provide, but also its impact on society and the environment.

The UN has identified several key sustainable development goals, such as eradicating poverty, reducing inequality, promoting clean energy, and protecting biodiversity. Achieving these goals requires innovative policies and practices that promote sustainable economic development, such as investing in renewable energy, improving access to education and healthcare, and promoting sustainable agriculture.

Overall, sustainable economic development is a critical component of the global effort to build a more equitable, prosperous, and sustainable future for all people and the planet.

Uzbekistan adopted 16 National Sustainable Development Goals and 125 related tasks until 2030. Ministries and agencies were assigned for each direction. Interdepartmental Council was formed to implement the goals, and a website was launched to monitor the data on the indicators.

The Sustainable Development Goals are a United Nations initiative to address economic, social, and environmental issues around the world. Each country will develop their own goals based on the 169 tasks outlined in the 2030 Agenda, adapting them to their national circumstances with defined quantitative indicators. The UNDESA's DSDG provides support on SDGs and related themes such as water, energy, climate, oceans, urbanization, transport, science, and technology.

The article states that Uzbekistan has agreed to implement the Sustainable Development Goals until 2030, and has approved 16 national goals and 125 related tasks. The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decision and interdepartmental Coordinating Council was formed to oversee the implementation of these goals. Furthermore, a website called nsdg.stat.uz was established to monitor data on BRM indicators in order to collect and summarize information on progress towards achieving the BRM.

Uzbekistan also accepted the conditions for the national implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals announced at the UN Summit in September 2015 and set national goals and objectives in the field of sustainable development until 2030. Based on the decision, 16 national sustainable development goals and 125 related tasks were approved for the period up to 2030. The decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 841 was adopted, and responsible ministries and agencies were determined for each direction. Also, at the government level, an interdepartmental Coordinating Council was formed under the leadership of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and a corresponding "road map" was adopted for the implementation of national BRMs. The website nsdg.stat.uz was launched in order to monitor data on BRM indicators. This platform is a single center for collecting and summarizing information on the current situation in the country in achieving the BRM.
