INTRODUCTION (abstract of PhD thesis)
The aim of the research work is to develop
scientific and practical
recommendations on improvement of logistics management of cargo transportation by
road transport in the foreign economic activity.
As object of the research are selected transport and logistics companies offering
logistics services for international cargo transportation as well as their innovative and
managerial activity.
Scientific novelty of the research work is as follows
:
Improvement of the integration mechanism for all stages of supply chain
management based on the introduction of 3PL and 4PL service providers with applying
«know-how» and information technologies;
based on the improvement of methods of analyzing
and forecasting the
development of streaming processes while moving throughout the supply chain in the
global logistics system, a model has been developed to meet customer demand just in
time, in the right amount and required quality in on-line mode;
on the basis of an integrated assessment of the activities of transport operators and
their services, taking into account «insourcing» and «outsourcing»,
the algorithmic
basis for choosing a rational option of transport and logistics services has been
improved;
an economic mechanism for coordinating the
activities of manufacturing
enterprises and logistic structures in accordance with the needs, supply, material flows
and accelerated rates of development of the country's free economic zones is justified;
based on the application of expert assessment methods and simulation modeling
an improvement of the management of transport processes by private transport
operators, as well as intelligent transport system has been developed.
