• In the decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev dated February 7, 2017 "On the strategy of actions for the further development of the Republic of Uzbekistan", priorities for further accelerating the development of our country in 2017-2021 were determined. The fourth of the five priority directions in the action strategy is aimed at the development of the social sphere. Among the issues of ensuring the well-being of the population, employment, health protection, and housing, there is also the issue of the development of the education system.

According to the decree, comprehensive measures were developed for the further development of the field of education and science. In this regard, the improvement of the quality of education through the implementation of extensive reforms in the public education system, the construction, reconstruction, capital repair of new school buildings, modern educational and laboratory equipment, information and communication technologies and educational - it is planned to implement a number of issues such as full provision of methodical manuals. In order to fundamentally improve the quality of general secondary education, special attention is paid to in-depth teaching of a number of subjects, including foreign languages, mathematics, physics, computer science, chemistry, and biology.

In addition, there are urgent tasks such as expanding the network of preschool educational institutions, fundamentally improving their conditions, improving the qualifications of pedagogues and specialists, increasing the coverage of children in preschool education, and improving the state policy on youth. The Ministry of Public Education plans to implement the following measures in order to educate young people who are physically healthy, mentally and intellectually developed, have deep thoughts and a firm outlook on life, are loyal to the Motherland, and increase their social activity in society.

First of all, it is necessary to improve the existing legal documents based on the requirements of the time. That is, based on the modern demands placed on the education system, the normative legal documents on the organization of general secondary education will be revised and "General secondary education "Regulation" is planned to be adopted in a new version

Along with this, the organizational structures of the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional public education departments and the main public education department of Tashkent city, as well as the methodical service system for educational institutions will be further improved. Current regulatory documents on the activities of general secondary educational institutions will be revised and enriched in terms of further improving the quality and efficiency of education.

Secondly, a number of priority tasks will be carried out in terms of raising students-young people in the spirit of patriotism, involvement in the fate of the country, respect for laws, strengthening their moral immunity against harmful influences and currents, and having a firm life position. For this purpose, with the support of teachers, elderly people with life experience, community activists, special importance is given to promoting reading among students and parents, the incomparable place of reading in human development. In cooperation with the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, online dialogues and meetings with famous writers and poets are organized in educational institutions. In cooperation with the Press and Information Agency of Uzbekistan, electronic copies of fiction are placed on portals on a large scale. The book fund of libraries and information-resource centers of general education schools will be enriched with new artistic and encyclopedic literature.

Based on the proposed new content of DTS, education is carried out at the levels from the basic level of general education studies - A1 to the specialized level of general education studies - B1+. In the process of education, students are formed the competencies of communicative, working with information, self-development, socially active citizenship, national and general cultural and mathematical literacy, use of science and technology innovations.

An educational methodology aimed at the development of a child's personality in accordance with international educational requirements is introduced into the teaching process, and forums dedicated to the problems of teaching in the field of science are regularly organized. Foreign language textbooks for upper grades will be improved, pedagogues will be able to effectively use electronic manuals and textbooks, virtual laboratory works, educational games and other additional electronic educational resources during the course of the lesson.

In order to carry out these works, a system of continuously improving the professional skills of teachers of general education schools, in particular, teachers of concrete and natural sciences, will be established. Fourthly, measures will be taken to train mature and skilled teachers, improve their qualifications and reform the system of retraining, increase the potential of personnel. For this purpose, the state requirements for the content and quality of the training of leaders and pedagogues in the public education system will be improved. The contents of the curriculum and programs are revised and adapted to the needs of the times. The quality structure of professors and teachers in the teacher training system is filled with young, scientific potential personnel. Pedagogical institutes will create new educational programs of teaching methods of specialized subjects.
