ABSTRACT

CONCLUSION :The potential consequences of an unreliable communication network within the realm of industrial IoT applications can be quite significant. After conducting an extensive examination of existing mission-critical systems, it became apparent that network layer monitoring is infrequently integrated into the design of industrial IoT systems. As a result, this paper outlines the development of a pioneering monitoring system focused on overseeing the communication uplink status of remote wide-area wireless communication endpoints. The primary aim of this investigation was to create and seamlessly integrate this system into the existing infrastructure of industrial IoT to enhance its resilience.
This innovative system has been meticulously crafted and put into operation within the established energy management projects of a reputable energy services company. A total of 80 remote endpoints, which encompassed more than a thousand individual components, were assimilated into the system for monitoring purposes.
The identification and earmarking of unstable connections proved to be a successful endeavor, leading to prompt corrective actions. The attained results unequivocally demonstrate the achievement of real-time monitoring for mission-critical endpoints. This system's integration has further fortified the sturdiness of the industrial IoT infrastructure. It is anticipated that the inclusion of this proposed system will serve as an incentive to promote the integration of IoT solutions and applications within the heavy industry sector.
