The aim of the work

Introduction
Development of a science as a whole and a linguistic science, in particular is connected not only to the decision of actually scientific problems, but also with features internal and foreign policy of the state, the maintenance of the state educational standards which are to the generators of progress providing social, economic society. It forms the society capable quickly to adapt in the modern world¹.


Conditions of reforming of all education system the question of the world assistance to improvement of quality of scientific-theoretical aspect of educational process is especially actually put. Speaking about the 20^th anniversary of National Independence President I.A.Karimov has declared in the program speech “Harmoniously development of generation a basis of progress of Uzbekistan”; “... all of us realize, that achievement of the great purposes put today before us, noble aspirations it is necessary for updating a society”. The effect and destiny of our reforms carried out in the name of progress and the future, results of our intentions are connected with highly skilled, conscious staff the experts who are meeting the requirements of time².
The theme of the present Qualification paper is “The problem of translating the words related to the items of clothing from English into Uzbek”.
Items of clothing are examined in the research work paper as a method included into utterance extra linguistic context in prism of human comprehension of the surrounding life.
The novelty of the Qualification paper lies in cognitive and communicative approaches to linguistic analysis of items of clothing aimed at acquiring the communicative competence.
The aim of the work is to describe the workings of the system of word forms used in English to locate situations in time.
Object of the research is the word syntax and lexicology.
Subject of the research is semantic relations of items of clothing in speech.
The objective of the work is to lay the terminological and conceptual groundwork which is necessary in providing precise definitions of the basic linguistic terms dealing with the items of clothing.
The methods of linguistic analysis used in this research paper work are:
1. Componential analysis, which helps to research lexemes that have a common range of meaning and constitutes a semantic domain of this project.
2. Discourse analysis that enables to reveal the hidden motivations behind a text or behind the choice of a particular method of research to interpret that text.
Theoretical value of the paper is based on the analyzed data of 60 pages of different dictionaries and other materials.
Practical value of the work may be useful in lexicology, theory of translation and general linguistics.
Structurally the Qualification paper consists of three parts. The first part is dedicated to the actual problems of Present Day English Lexicology. The second part deals with structural - semantic and functional analysis of words related to the items of clothing from English into Uzbek. Since this study is intended as the part of lexicology and translation, it seems necessary to make explicit the way in which we use such terms.
