Organic Foods Supermarket relies on consumers to shop from the various products available in the shop. The supermarket industry is highly competitive and requires creativity to set it apart from other competitors in the region. It relies on products brought in by suppliers and therefore should be very particular with the quality of products displayed on the shelves for sale. Industry Participants This industry is dominated by particular groups of people who keep the business running. • Staff – the supermarket’s attendants, cashiers, storekeepers and other members of staff help in the smooth running of the business. They offer quality services to customers and help them where necessary. Suppliers –Supermarkets source their products from suppliers and this may include local farmers and authorized distributors for organic products. The suppliers sell the supermarkets the products at a certain lower price and they in turn sell to the consumers at a higher level thus realizing their profit margin. Suppliers should be certified and issued with a clean hygiene certificate so as not to compromise the health of the client. Kotler and Armstrong (2020) defined that n owadays, more and more corporations are turning to the internet to find suppliers. For marketers, this has leveled the playing field the internet gives smaller suppliers many of the same advantages as larger competitors. • Customers – they are the main key players in the industry. They form the platform of the business and should therefore be treated with utmost respect.
