The given charts illustrate the proportion of three different nutrients which consumed in typical meals in the USA.
Overall, sodium and saturated fat were the greatest nutrients for dinner, while the highest percentage of sugar added nutrients were eaten as snacks. Moreover, American people consumed all types of meals on lunch almost around the quarter of total. It is also worth noting that the figure for all eaten types of food for breakfast was the lowest.
Over dinner, sodium and saturated fat represented 43% and 37% of the total proportion, respectively, compared with added sugar meals, at 42%. The figure for the consumption of added sugar on dinner was just 23%. Similarly, there was almost same proportion of saturated fat with 21%. However, the percentage of sodium consuming was mere 14% over dinner.
The percentage of the total consuming of sodium and saturated fat were almost same on lunch, 29% and 26% respectively, while added sugar showed merely 19%. On breakfast, this accounted for nearly 16% in all types of typical meals.
