The given line-graph gives information about the amounts of 4 types of meat (which were) consumed in one country in Europe over a period of 25 years starting from 1979 (units are measured in grams per person per week)
Overall, while the consumption of beef, lamb and fish fell throughout the period, chicken consumption saw a significant rise. Meanwhile, fish was the least consumed meat type.
In 1979, beef was the most preferrable meat type, being consumed at about 220 grams. By contrast, the figures for the consumption of chicken and lamb were considerably lower around 150 grams, while fish was consumed at more than 50 grams. Over the following years, chicken consumption grew sharply, reaching a high of 250 grams in the final year.
Trends for the consumption of other types of meat fell. The amounts of beef and lamb eaten in Europe experienced a noticeable drop to about 120 and around 70 respectively In the meantime, the consumption of fish remained relatively stable.
