The national emblem of the Uzbekistan
The state emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan presents the image of the raising sun over the flourishing valley. We can also see the wheat ears and branches of cotton there.
The eight-angled star in the emblem symbolizes the unity of the republic. There are also the sacred symbols of the Moslems. Navruz.
As you noticed from the title of the text the world “Navruz” is of Persian-Tajik origin which may be translated word by word into Uzbek as “Янги” (нав) and “кун”(рўз),into English “the new day”. That is the first day of a new year, which comes on the 21^st of march every year. Navruz is a popular holiday in the history of the central Asian and new East countries. It was celebrated, as historians write, long before Islam. It was and remains one of the major traditional secular holiday of our people. While celebrating Navruz people usually tidy their houses up, make decorations with different flowers and green grass. They also go to see their parents, relatives, neighbours and close friends. People visit the graves of the dead. One of the widely known traditions at Navruz is making seven dishes the names of wich begin with the sound called in Persian “haftsin”. So people make “somsa”, “sumalak” and so on. Navruz is also a holiday of mercy and absolution. On this day people forgive one another their old offences and visit lonely and disable people trying to do whetever they can for those who need their care.At Navruz people greet each other “Наврўзи олам муборак” (greet you with Navruz of the world).


The role of a family in upbringing Harmoniously developed generation
Our country became Independent in 1991. On the first days of independence our government and president paid great attention to the upbringing of the youth . We all know that concern for the new generation , the need to bring up a sound , harmoniously developed person is a feature of our nation. Each person living on this holy land fights and works hard for all doing his best to bring up his children educated and good - natured person, to see their happiness and prosperity. From his very birth , a person lives in a family atmosphere . Family traditions , values and outlook form the core of a child’s character. I think Uzbek family will not lose it’s historically shaped character. Parents have certain responsibilities and duties. If we ask aksakals from respected families , they briefly point out the following responsibilities to us : to give them a worthy home , to find them a good teacher, to educate them , to marry them, to build a house. In our independent country parents have all favorable conditions to fullfil their duties.
