Pictures with the image of various events on them.
What to do:

  Divide students into pairs and tell them what they need to do.

  They are required to write a story based on the given picture.

  After writing the story to create a heading appropriate for the story they have written.

  They should choose one genre to write a story.
  

The activity improves learners’ creativity and imagination.
Activity 10: Dialogue writing
Students will make up a dialogue using the language of social media.
What you will need:
The list of vocabulary used in communication by the users of social media.
What to do:

• 
  Ask their opinions and thoughts about social media and using it. Following questions can be suitable:
  
  • 
    Do you use social media?
    
  • 
    What kind of social media do you use?
    
  • 
    How do you think are they useful or harmful?
    
• 
  Divide students into pairs.
  
• 
  Tell them to make up a dialogue on specific topic which they want.
  
• 
  They should use informal or formal style of writing.
  
• 
  If they find it difficult give them the vocabulary prepared beforehand based on the topic of social media.
  
• 
  In the end ask the pairs to act out as if they really chatting by reading their dialogues.
  
• 
  Give other students an opportunity to give feedback for others.
  

This activity gives students the opportunity to learn the advantages of using social media in writing and disadvantages in other aspects as well. Students will learn the correct structure and the style of writing e-mails and short messages mostly used in social media.
Activity 11: Exercise for changing the structure of the sentence
Students are required to change or rewrite the given sentences in the exercise.
