What do wild animals do in wildfires?

  1. Summary

Wildfires which arise from heat wave as well as powerful winds are scattering and spreading across the West Coast of the United States, Origon and Washington, besides California.
Although wildfires cause to expunge animals , there are some animals which can escape the fires are refining and surviving their species far from extinction. For example, birds may fly away, mammals can run, amphibians take cover under rocks and also elk may take refuge in lakes.
However, some species are in want of fire. I mean forest fires are essential for the release of fungi and spores. Many animals like mule deer need burned areas in order to eat and nest. Bears, raptors try to hunt animals which are escaping from the flames. Therefore, Sullivan says: “ There is always winners and losers”.
Exactly, this kind of wildfires can be chance to forest to born through resetting ways, as a result, many species which require that reset may build up. So, what happens after a fire occurs depends on the landscape, the severity of fire and the species involve.

  1. My thoughts

In my point of view, this text has both benefits and drawbacks equally. As for me, major disadvantage is killing rare animals and plants. Consequently, wildfire destroy the chain food too. Controversially, the burns create new type of species such as jack pine comes after the fire.

  1. Connections of real life

The fires that happen around the world now are unlike the fires of 1992, 1972 or 1952. Fires are burning faster and hotter than even before, and complex socio-economic factors result in more people being affected by smoke and other wildfire effects. The European Forest Fire Information System(EFFIS) estimated that within European Union countries, between 2.07 million acres have burned. In the broader area that EFFIS covers, it estimated between 4 million acres and 4.2 million burned acres. In Algeria where at least 40 people died in August fires.
