Introduction
Learning literature opens gateways into the minds of readers of the past and the present. Also, especially for older and canonical works, you are viewing the consolidated, forged, and honed consciousness of the best minds of any age. Moreover, you are seeing how they saw the world, the things they wished to see in the world, and the ideology of a world we can no longer explore. Often too, the best writers have revealed some quintessence of the human condition that only came to be exposed through their pondering and the placing down of their conscious thoughts on the subject in a book.
Literature teaches us about other times, other people, other scenarios, but all of these others become internalized, and make us rethink ourselves, our time, people in general, and our experiences. Literature helps us form ideas, see the world from other perspectives, shift our ideologies, and expose ideologies. To read Literature is to travel backwards through time, to see how things were, and how people who feel so far away are just like us. Literature can make us feel compassion for monsters, hatred for innocence, desire for the grotesque, and repulsion for beauty. In short, Literature connects us with our humanity in ways that are impossible otherwise. In addition, to connect with our humanity, to seek after the truth of ourselves and the world of people, is a most noble and life changing experience. Literature is a published chunk of some part of a language with a specific purpose and a specific author. As authors and purposes are different, literature only displays a bit of language; in living speakers and living speech, language is a far larger universe. Literature is only some part of it.
It is usually language that influences literature, but to an extent, literature can influence language as well, just as with all kinds of art that affect us culturally and semiotic ally. Accordingly, foreign languages are learnt all over the place, including Uzbekistan that is one of the developing countries in the world, along with its literature, which helps learners, inspire more.
It is obvious that Uzbekistan has already found its way and place in the world, which means that “doors” are open for Uzbekistan to other countries, because the Second President of Uzbekistan Sh. M. Mirziyoyev decided to focus more on education. , in particular, in the field of pedagogy and the development of measures for the teaching of English. The Decree of the Second President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, adopted in May 2021, “In addition, aimed at further improving the quality of learning foreign languages,” is no doubt proof of this. The teaching and learning of foreign languages [1.23]
