The Nightingale Alexander Alyabyev (1787-1851) Full Score Alexander Aleksandrovich Alyabyev wrote seven operas, twenty musical comedies, more than 200 romances, and many other pieces. His most famous work is The Nightingale, written in 1825, and is a romance based on a poem written by Anton Delvig. This piece was originally written for Cello and Piano in the key of E Minor. Alyabyev was born to a wealthy family in 1787, learned music in his early years, and joined the Russian Army in 1812. He is often credited as Alabieff or sometimes as Alabiev. for Alto Sax and Piano PREVIEW
