3. CONCLUSION 
 
The course paper is intended for English language students at Pedagogical 
Universities taking the course of English methodology and fully meets the 
requirements of the programme in the subject. It may also be of interest to all readers, 
whose command of English is sufficient to analyze how importance of extensive 
reading in teaching english as a foreign language. By this course work, reader can get 
information about characteristics, features, types , the role of extensive reading in 
teaching english language process. 
We can say that in contrast to the past, many teachers have now heard of 
extensive reading, but there are still too few teachers that require it for their learners. 
Extensive reading is still most often seen as ―additional‖ or ―supplemental‖ to a 
main program, which can be omitted if time does not allow. This chapter argues
that it should be a core part of every language program‘s curriculum, and all
language programs should have an extensive reading component to deepen and
enrich the language the learners meet in their coursework. This chapter also 
presents ideas for setting up and running an Extensive Reading program so that this 
necessary listening and reading may be done.
All the aim and tasks of the course paper are done during the research and 
overview of plans. All the tasks are presented above while writing the plans. 
We researched methodical literature, scientific articles, recent works of 
methodology scientist; using such methods as analyzing manuals, textbooks and 
books, educational magazines, training appliances, newspapers and of course to find 
out the latest and the most modern information we used internet. 
While working with such themed course paper, I have acquired a lot of 
information related my own theme. For example , Extensive reading involves 
learners reading texts for enjoyment and to develop general reading skills. It can be

compared with intensive reading, which means reading in detail with specific learning 
aims and tasks.
