Adolescence is a difficult time for young people, bringing not only the physical changes of adulthood, but also emotional changes and, in some cases, the onset of serious mental illness.
For parents, it can sometimes seem that their loving, loving child has become a different, distant person, and the teenager's friends have become more important to them than their family.
