District and School-based Title I Parent and Family Engagement Programs in Polk County Public Schools will strive to               

BUILD RELATIONSHIPS in order to create real family engagement for every child, every family, every teacher, every day.

 

This compact outlines how the parents/family, the entire school staff, and the students will share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement.   

By linking learning, the school and parents will build and develop a partnership that will help our students achieve the state’s high standards for the school year.

Monitoring 

 Student Progress 



 

Use  a  variety  of  methods  to  monitor  student 

progress:  grades,  STAR  reports,  fluency  checks, 

sight  word  checks,  and  all  district  and  state 

assessments. 



 

Sign up for parent portal and monitor my child’s 

grades.  



 

Sign and return report card slips and progress 

reports.  



 

Schedule a conference with the teacher if 

needed.  



 

Take home all graded papers, report cards, and 

progress reports and share with my family.

Be Involved 



 

Host academically focused events to partner with 

parents to help students be successful.

Invite parents to volunteer and be involved.

Provide suggestion box and ways to give input.

Keep contact information current and notify 

school with phone number changes.

Attend a conference with teacher.

Attend school functions.

Transport agenda back and forth between my 

teacher and parents/guardians.
