Recommendation Letter Habib Ahmadzai
TO: Selection Committee FROM: Shohjahon Hakimov, Assistant Professor, General Education Department, American University of Central Asia DATE: RE: Recommendation Letter for Habib Gul Ahmadzai I have known Habib since the fall of 2020. He took the First Year Seminar I and II and English Composition I and II, which are writing and reading intensive classes. Habib was one of the most industrious, committed, and highly motivated students in class. According to my observations of the online classroom settings, Habib brings to all of his activities optimism, enthusiasm, and commitment. He can easily establish a great rapport with his peers as well as the faculty members. He is respected by his classmates and friends. Habib’s excellent communication skills combined with his charisma and cordiality easily lets him make friends and become the heart of any team. Usually he becomes a driving force of any study group. Habib is well-organized and detail oriented in his approach to the course assignments. He masters themes and subjects quickly with his keen intellect and skillfully applies the gained knowledge in completing his writing assignments in precise and error free manner. I have been often pleasantly surprised when Habib would finish reading assignments ahead of time and raise thought provoking questions in class. He accomplishes all these tasks with a great initiative and with a positive attitude. Habib’s interest in and willingness to listen to all aspects of a discussion before coming to a conclusion inspire those around him to do the same, leading to some excellent class discussions. Likewise, he helps encourage some of his classmates toward their own success, offering support and aid to those who are struggling. He is an honest, inspiring, and reliable leader. Habib is an intelligent, hardworking, and capable student. What really stands out is his ability to clearly articulate and provide well-thought out ideas and his willingness to work hard to improve his writing skills. While Habib was among the best writers in his class with me from the outset, he did not just rest on his laurels, but worked steadily to improve his abilities even further. For example, one of his papers explored the effects of colonization in Chinua Achebe’s work Things Fall Apart. He distinguished himself by presenting well-thought arguments, exceptional critical thinking, well-researched sources, and articulate English. He put in a lot of extra efforts and made in-depth research, going beyond the class requirements. Thus, he is not afraid of taking on new challenges and working on them. Habib’s potential for becoming a successful graduate student is immense. His emotional maturity, self-discipline, and quality-driven behavior are developed far beyond what is typically observed in a person of his age. He is a hard worker who is naturally open minded and inquisitive. He is a studious and determined student. Therefore, I believe that he will be an excellent candidate for your program. I recommend Habib highly for his outstanding qualities and merits. Please feel free to contact me at hakimov_s@auca.kg or +996509051005, should you have any questions. Download 49.65 Kb.
