Students brought their pets for a special blessing. Some children brought stuffed animals, while others brought live pets including dogs, cats, birds, and fish. Blessing of the Animals The Kindergarten class has been creating stories through writing, and drawing pictures to illustrate their stories. Last week, they came dressed up like old ladies and men, as they have been reading the series “There was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a.....” Kindergarten Writing >> More news at www.stakb.org/school << 7th Grade Civics During Civics, seventh graders collaborated in groups to describe events/ideas that inspired the Declaration of Independence. They searched for quotes from the Declaration of Independence that related to the event/idea.
While learning about Community Helpers, the PK-4 class took a fun field trip to the Key Biscayne Fire Department where they learned about what firefighters do to keep the community safe. In Math, they have been learning different ways to make the number 5.
In Spanish class, Middle School students have been working on the Hispanic Heritage project and learning about Colombia. October 29th, 2017:
