English class in 4th grade on this topic "What is weather like…?” Class: 4 Type of lesson : lesson fastening material. Type of lesson: a traditional lesson. Topic: Weather. Objective: Improving the skills of dialogic and monologue speech, writing and listening. Tasks of the lesson: Educational: familiarizing students with the weather characteristic of the country of the language being studied. Developing: - the formation of skills to apply this knowledge in practice; - development of group self-organization skills, ability to clearly formulate your thoughts; Educational: - education in students by means of self-confidence lessons; - fostering respect for the traditions and culture of the country of the language being studied. Equipment: computer; media projector; interactive whiteboard; computer presentation with the material of the lesson. During the classes: Message goal lesson Teacher : Good morning, dear children! I am glad to see you. We'll practice our speaking skills and reading, listening and writing. I wish you to be calm and to work well. Speech recharging : (teacher asks children to answer questions related to the topic of the lesson). Teacher : Children, I want you to answer some questions: 1) What date is it today? 2) What ios weather like today? 3) What are autumn months? 4) Do you like autumn? Children answer the questions of the teacher. Teacher : Please note that the children are represented on it. Children call the weather in the pictures. Teacher : - What is the weather like today? Children answer the question. Phonetic charge : Teacher : Today is cold and we are frozen. Phonetic training. Look at the slide and listen to me. The teacher asks one of the students to translate the proverb, then the whole class repeats the proverb after the teacher. Teacher : Please, S ( calls student ) translates this tongue-twister. And now all repeat after me. Main stage Repetition of previously studied material. Activation of lexical units on the topic.The teacher asks the children to remember the seasons and name them in English. The development of oral skills. Description of the picture. (The teacher asks the children to describe the pictures depicted on the slide using the words written on the blackboard) Teacher : Look at the next slide. Pleas S1 ( one of students ) come in winter / summer / spring / autumn. Describe this picture with help of these words. (The teacher asks you to fill out a letter about the weather in England, in which words are lost, lost words are written on the blackboard) Teacher : Today our friend puss in boots visits us. He has lost some words. We need to complete these sentences. windy and warm; cold and windy; rainy and fog every day; sunny, but sometimes rainy: The weather in England in winter is ... 3. The weather in England in autumn is ... The weather in England in summer is ... 4. The weather in England in spring is ... 4.Explanation of homework. (The teacher invites children to make a project on the theme: “What kind of weather is typical for our country.” Explains that a project can be in the form of pictures, a presentation, or a story). Teacher : Open your record books put down your home task. Your home task is a project;you should be able to make pictures Summarizing. End of the lesson. Teacher : You've worked wonderfully today.
