Subjects of research are corn, sorghum, technical sorghum (brooms) 
cultivated on the territory of the republic. 
The scientific novelty of the study is as follows: 
For the first time, the technology of cultivation of maize and other tall plants 
was developed and introduced, allowing intercultural protection; 
The species composition of maize pests has been studied, with the 
establishment of the most frequently encountered, dominant them; 
a list of the most effective and low-risk insecticides for the protection of 
maize from pests has been studied and compiled; 10 of them are included in the list 
of permitted for practical use; The conditions under which the desired efficacy can 
be obtained is prescribed.
