Nick: Irises? I don’t think she likes irises.
Shop assistant: What about roses? We have very beautiful roses. They are from Holland.
Nick: What colour are they? Do you have red roses? You see it’s my friend’s birthday. She is twenty five today. It’s a big day for her.
Shop assistant: Certainly we have red roses. Do you like these? Aren’t they beautiful?
Nick: Very beautiful. I’d like twelve red roses and thirteen white roses please.
Shop assistant: Very good, sir. What’s her name and her address?
Nick: She lives at 19, Queen Street. Her name is Helen Clark. I would like a “ Happy birthday” card too.
Shop assistant: Yes, sir. Fifteen dollars, please.
