MY FRIEND

MY FRIEND
Usually we call a friend someone who helps us in difficult times, gives good advice, can cheer us up when we are sad, and keep us company when we feel lonely. Therefore, with full right, you can call not only people, but also books, because they can perform all these tasks. Books also help us learn from the mistakes of others and not make our own. If our human friend gives advice or assessments of our actions when we do not ask him for it, this will not look very tactful. We may even get offended! But they are not offended by the book, because it does not give unsolicited advice and assessments. We take up a book in a difficult situation in order to figure it out ourselves or find a clue. We ourselves decide when and what books to read, so we follow their advice much more often.
For me, books are both an opportunity to learn something new and an opportunity to get acquainted with the opinions of famous people on various issues. With the help of books, we get acquainted with the experience of past generations, with the invaluable heritage of our predecessors, which we can use in our lives to solve our own personal problems. Of course, not every person will take the trouble to read a lot of other people's thoughts in order to form his own, personal opinion about the problem, because you can simply follow the tastes of the majority. But this does not always give good results. For example, when choosing a profession, many simply follow the fashion that exists at the moment, and then they realize that this is not their business at all and does not correspond to their character. Such an understanding usually comes late, and sometimes a person does not understand that he is not doing his own thing, he just feels anxiety and dissatisfaction all his life. And if such a person in time gave himself the trouble to figure out what exactly his soul lies in, his life would have turned out much better. To do this, you just had to read more, therefore, think more and get used to forming your own opinion about everything.
In order for reading to be beneficial, it is necessary to reflect on what you have read. Even if we read a book just for fun, it still leaves its mark on our minds.
Many young people in our time believe that books are not needed, that this is an anachronism, because information can also be obtained with the help of video films or audio recordings. Of course, this is partly true. But films, in my opinion, mostly affect the emotions and leave little room for the imagination. What else can you imagine, what to think about - everything is already visible, presented and chewed. Therefore, for me personally, adaptations of previously read books cause for the most part only disappointment. After all, when reading a book, we see only letters, but what is being discussed arises in our imagination, evokes certain associations and is fixed in the mind much better. I often notice that I think about what I read much more often than about watching movies, photographs or listening to audio recordings.
In conclusion, I want to say that the book for me is actually a real, and best friend! She helps me make my dreams come true, advises me on what to do in a difficult life situation, and in general helps me become an interesting, extraordinary person.
What is a book? According to current beliefs, a useless object, a pile of paper, a dust collector. An unenlightened person does not even imagine what can be hidden behind a dilapidated binding.
First, the book, no matter how trite it may sound, is a source of knowledge. Moreover, you do not so much assimilate the essence of the book as you learn spelling, notice elegant phrases, try to express yourself correctly and clearly.
Secondly, the book is a great escape from problems. Reading a book, you are in a completely different reality, you come into contact with the unknown and beautiful, you develop your imagination. All of this is definitely relaxing.
Thirdly, the book is indeed a treasure. After all, it will not take even a decade, as the world will completely drown in electronics, and only a few printed works of art will remain. Agree that it is pleasant to smell the book, which carries a certain secret, to touch the greasy and yellowed pages from time to time.
And finally, the book can be a great conversationalist. She will answer all the questions that gnaw at you, put everything on the shelves, dot the i's. Holding a book in your hands, you are at the mercy of an outstanding personality, introducing you to incredible events, unexpected twists of fate, outstanding people, stunning discoveries. Sometimes you don’t even notice yourself that you are no longer in your cozy apartment, but are walking between the lines of a novel, fleeing on the pages of a detective story or looking for a treasure in the world of fairy tales.
But still, not every book is wonderful, since any work has such a distinctive feature as a genre. Genre is the character, meaning, face of the book. Detectives, novels, novels, short stories, fairy tales... A huge number of varieties makes one's head spin, so it is so important not to get lost in the world of literature, to find that one and only genre of the book. Personally, historical novels have a special charm for me. In my opinion, they carry the same charm, romanticism, which is so lacking in our years.
Perhaps someone can easily do without books, finding other priorities and values in life, but in my environment the book is the right hand, and my veneration of the book sometimes reaches fanaticism. I regard it as a cure for all diseases: boredom, grief, lack of education, anger, depression, failure. The book will always tell you, dispel the clouds over your head, soothe and caress, like a mother. In general, no matter what happens, my advice to you is: “Read the book!”
