Steve: I try not to use too many gestures because I think adult 
learners must find them a bit patronizing. I use a few more I teach 
kids.

Laura: I planned this really nice activity and I’m sure it would 
have been good, but the students didn’t understand what I wanted 
them to do and it all went wrong.
