Waste & Recycling Guide

Waste container and recycle bin placement

and collection rules

Follow these simple steps to ensure your wasteand recycling is

collected quickly and easily:

All waste and recycling must be placed at the curb.

On your scheduled day of service, place your waste and recycling

at the curb no later than 6:00 a.m. – late set out will be noted and

may not be picked up.

Waste should be in properly secured containers (up to 40 gallons not exceeding 50 lbs.)

or plastic bags (up to 32 gallons not to exceed 50 lbs.). Limit is up to 15 bags or equivalent

number of containers per week. Special Collection available for over 15 bags or an equivalent

number of containers for a FEE. Please call customer service at 800-464-2120.

Hedge cuttings, limbs, and branches should be securely tied and should not exceed 48 inches

in length, weighing no more than 40 lbs. Branches should not exceed 4 inches in diameter.

Bulk items (LIMIT 2 PER WEEK) will be accepted at curbside. Special Collection available for

over 2 bulky items per week for a FEE. Please call customer service at 800-464-2120.

Carpet should be rolled and tied in lengths not to exceed 48 inches.

Empty paint cans and/or dried paint is acceptable. Paint can be dried by air drying or soaking

up with newspaper or kitty litter. Lids should be left off.

Items such as refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, water coolers, or any

other appliance containing refrigerant will only be picked up if the item has a sticker certifying

the refrigerant has been removed. If there is no sticker certifying removal, we will not pick

up the item due to laws prohibiting disposal  without certification the refrigerant has been

removed. It is suggested that you have the company delivering the new appliance dispose of

the old appliance to save on the removal cost of the refrigerant.

Position your waste container and recycling bin no further than 3 feet away from the road

with handle facing toward your residence.

Position your waste container and recycling bin 3 feet away from any obstacles, such as a

mailbox or light pole.

Remove  waste container and recycling bin from the curb within 24 hours of collection.

Larger 32-gallon recycling containers available for residents to purchase at $16/container.
