Vowels are based on voice which is modified in the supra –laryngal cavities . The muscular tension is spread overall the speech organs. The air-stream passes through the supra-laryngal cavities freely, no narrowings being expressly formed on this way The breath force is rather weak for , it is expanded when the air stream passes through the larynx and causes the vocal cords to vibrate.
According to the vertical movement of the tongue , English vowels have been traditionally subdivided into close(high), mid and open (low)
