What are your long term goals as a teacher trainer and how will participating in this program bring you closer to accomplishing your goals.

It is undeniable that by setting achievable goals you can keep yourself fresh and motivated year after year. As an intellectual person I want to do something meaningful in my life so becoming teacher trainer in ESN program is a great opportunity for me to encourage and motivate teachers, to help them achieve their potential to improve their classroom management skills or their assessments.

First and foremost teachers as educators should be engaged in lifelong learning. It is important to have similar goals with your trainees. Clear goals will ensure a comprehensive understanding of what is required in order to achieve them. In my opinion teachers have a major role to play and therefore should be trained properly. Training courses will improve trainees skills reasonably well.

Second of all teacher training courses prepare teachers with different methods of teaching and talk about their efficiency. These kind of extra educating courses are necessary to inform teachers about new teaching methods and provide them with updated resources.

About ten years ago we had to face lots of difficulties in the English classroom. But now the situation has changed. According to the decree of our former president Islam Karimov our government is paying great attention to learning English language. In 2015 I had a chance to go to the UK, Marjon University for exchange program by participating in the best teacher competition.

I have been working as a teacher trainer in our region for two years. During our sessions I with my trainees tried to clarify the main difficulty in learning English and how teaching can be successful. Thus we are convinced that an excellent environment for improving a foreign language is one where the target language is spoken and heard at all times. However we have no enough opportunities for oral practice because they are fewer than for listening. Therefore more attention should be given to exercises that link listening to an improvement of speaking skills.

The ESN program which is organized by American Councils and Ministry of public education is a great chance to highlight our English teachers experience where we can learn from English teaching professionals and can become more interconnected and interdependent. Participating in this program I can deliver workshops to our regional English teachers of secondary schools.

In conclusion, I believe that proper training is essential to become a good mentor. And I will do my best to share my experience with local teachers.
