To the research work on the “COMBINING SPEAKING AND LISTENING SKILLS TO PROMOTE COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE FOR ESP LEANERS” Written by _Arslonzoda Aziza Rahmatovna________________________ This work is focused on the integrating listening and speaking skills to promote communicative competence in teaching ESP. When people learn a foreign language, they usually want to make use of that language to communicate with people who speak the same language. They can find themselves in the need of understanding them and talking to them. Listening and speaking are, regardless of who the people using the language are, at least as important as the other skills to communicate. One should keep in mind that these skills are normally integrated in real life. The term integrated skills is frequently used as if it were almost synonymous with reinforcement. Viewed in this way, the process of integrating language skills involves linking them together in such a way that what has been learnt and practiced through the exercise of one skill is reinforced and perhaps extended through further language tasks which bring different skills into use. The research work is about integrating listening and speaking skills to facilitate communicative competence in teaching ESP using interactive communicative methods. The author tries to analyze the role the innovative methods of teaching foreign language, their importance and role in teaching a foreign language (English for Specific Purposes) in the higher educational establishments. The work consists of the theoretical and practical parts, detailed lesson plan, methods and techniques used during the lesson, conclusion and references on the target research topic. In the work the author gives theoretical background of the target research topic. Here she analyzes the principles of teaching and developing listening and speaking comprehension, challenges in developing communicative competence, the role of the authentic materials in improving communicative competence of ESP learners and proves this with the sample lesson plan. The research work is enriched with conclusion. All the information is proved with examples and practical implementation in teaching process. As the aim of the research is to prove that listening and speaking both in practice phase in the classroom and in real communication entail unique features that result in real contribution to overall language learning, as a reviewer I can say that she could gain her aim. As a conclusion I would like to say that the research work is well written and can be defended. Download 1.13 Mb. Do'stlaringiz bilan baham: |
