Who is Jesus?

  • Jesus = First/Only Name (see Mark 1:9)

    • Hebrew: Yeshua (= "Joshua")
    • Greek:  ()
    • Latin: Iesus
    • English: Jesus (cf. Joshua)
    • Note: "Christ" is a title, not his last name!
  • Meaning: “God saves”

    • Emmanuel = “God is with us”
