with financial inclusion and the direction of relationship changes from positive to negative 
after the individual reaches to certain age.
These findings have some policy implications for the governments in this region and can 
be utilized to address the challenges of creating financially inclusive society. According to my 
findings, the gender gap in financial inclusion does not constitute a major problem in Central 
Asia for saving, borrowing and mobile banking. However, Central Asian policymakers should 
implement set of measures to expand the access to borrowing to rural residents, less educated 
and unemployed people in the region. Inclusion of these groups into formal financial system 
might help to reduce poverty by providing access to various financial resources and achieve 
sustainable economic growth in Central Asia.
