Subject and object of research: comparative analysis of short stories by English, Russian and Uzbek short story writers W Mansfield, A Qakhhar, A. Chekhov.
Methods of research are generalizations, classification, descriptive analysis and comparative method.
The degree of novelty of the research is determined by the fact that this is the first investigation devoted to the identification of similar and different feartures of English, Russian and Uzbek short stories interconnected through time and space.
