135mm Jupiter 37A f/3.5 ; 135mm Vivitar f/2.8:
(КМЗ, 1975) ; (Komine – s/n 28…, 1960-70s)

Many lenses were based on the Sonnar scheme, what I feel is that the DDR Carl Zeiss Jena Olympia Sonnar 180mm f/2.8 is by far the best of them all, no newer remake could reach it. But it is a MF glass so it is huge and uncomfortable to use. From the 135mm Sonnars the f/3.5 seem to have a better focus transitions and volume than the f/2.8. The old CZ Jena f/3.5 and Soviet Jupiter 37A, non MC lenses are still better to my eye than the other 135mm Sonnars.

From the f/2.8 lenses I find the cheap Komine Vivitar with the green scale and only 6-blade aperture to be the finest lens. Lovely, still @ f/3.5 and above the Jupiter is better.
